Bellator 186: Tywan ‘Speedy’ Claxton wins via flying-knee KO in Pro MMA Debut

Saying that Tywan ‘Speedy’ Claxton (no relation to the turtle from Rob & Big) just made waves in his Bellator debut would be quite the understatement.

After posting a perfect 6-0 record during his amateur career, Claxton would make his pro debut tonight under the Bellator banner against Johnny Bonilla-Bowman. Just under a minute and a half into the first round of their prelim bout tonight at Bellator 186, Claxton would use picture perfect technique, placing both of his hands on the side of the head of his opponent, while airborne, as he flew from what seemed like halfway across the cage to land his left knee right through the guard of Bowman, scoring an instant KO. Wow. Next time this featherweight fights, it’s appointment viewing.
