Is Brock Lesnar headed back to UFC after WrestleMania 34?

With all eyes on Ronda Rousey in Las Vegas tonight at WWE’s Elimination Chamber event, UFC President Dana White has managed to shift some of that focus to current WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar and his status with the UFC. And all it took was one little post on social media just moments before WWE went live with their Network exclusive event.

The last time we saw Lesnar inside of the Octagon, the former 2x defending UFC Heavyweight Champ was able to defeat Mark Hunt via unanimous decision at the promotions landmark UFC 200 pay-per-view event. That victory would later be overturned due to Lesnar testing positive for a banned substance. Lesnar would go on to retire from the sport in February of 2017.

If Lesnar does indeed plan on returning to the Octagon after his obligations with WWE are over, he would have to be in the USADA testing pool for at least six months. Lesnar will defend his Universal Championship at WrestleMania 34 in April against the winner of tonight’s Elimination Chamber match. According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Lesnar’s contract ends after WrestleMania, but he would not be able to compete anywhere other than WWE until August with permission from Vince McMahon. Could this post from Dana be a sign of Lesnar re-entering the testing pool with August now just 6 months away? Only time will tell.
