Cage Warriors 93 took place last night in Gothenburg and put the spotlight on some truly amazing fighters coming through Scandanavia’s gyms.
In the main event of the evening, Carlos Pedersoli picked up a split decision victory over ex-Cage Warriors champ Nicolas Dalby, dropping him with a roundhouse kick to the head in the second round.

Despite defeat, Dalby still showed how competitive a fighter he is, and he later posted on social media that he is now engaged to his long-term partner and mother of his child.
The big talking point coming out of Cage Warriors 93 though was that we now have a new lightweight title contender in Soren Bak.
.@truevikingbak gets it done! We have a lightweight number 1 contender! 🙌

Bak defeated Alexander Jacobsen via second round submission, his third victory in a row, and his second submission win on the bounce.
Bak is now 10-1 and faces Liverpool’s Chris Fishgold for the title, telling the world he wants his shot at Cage Warriors 96 in Liverpool’s Echo Arena.
Further down the card, Jack Grant defeated Miehdi Dakaev via decision, putting on a fight that showed that not all grappling based fights are boring.
Grant was able to stuff a lot of Dakaev’s wrestling takedowns, and even attempted a few submissions, including an arm triangle where he and Dakaev exchanged through the hold and a rare dead orchard submission.
Grant is now 14-4 and the lad from Grimsby has well and truly put the lightweight division on notice.
Alan Carlos won via unanimous decision following a striking heavy fight against Norman Paraisy. The Brazilian out striked his French counterpart and it was a good fight all round for both men.
In the events opener, Junior Karanta lost to Sofianne Boukichou via TKO in the third round.
The fight mainly saw Karanta stuffing Bouckichous takedowns, before fatigue set in the third round and he was unable to defend himself intelligently on the ground.
Next up for Cage Warriors is a trip to Belgium for Cage Warriors 94 in Antwerp on June 16th.
