Following his 12-round unanimous decision victory over Miguel Cotto this past weekend in Vegas, Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez answered the only question that matters to boxing fans right now – is he willing to fight GGG? The answer – of course he is.
It’s the biggest fight you could make in professional boxing right now with Floyd Mayweather out of the picture and it’s a fight that, unlike Mayweather-Pacquiao, could still happen while both fighters are still in their prime.
Here’s what Canelo had to say following his fight with Cotto about a potential bout with GGG in 2016:
We are ready. I’ve said it and I am a fighter that doesn’t avoid people. If they were to tell me I had to fight 12 more rounds and put on the gloves I’m ready.
