Fans have been clamoring for a superfight between Invicta FC featherweight champion Cristiane “Cyborg” and UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey for sometime now. Unfortunately, there’s still that one issue with weight that has been keeping the two women from mixing it up inside of the Octagon. Here’s what Cyborg had to say on social media following Rousey’s latest victory.
Good fight for Honda. My next fight is 140lbs, then I hope we get a chance to give fans the WMMA fight the most violent fight in the history of MMA!
Aside from Aldo-McGregor, Rousey-Cyborg is the biggest fight you can make in the sport of mixed martial arts right now. If Cyborg can have a successful cut down to 140 lbs for her next fight in Invcta, a 135 lbs title bout against Rousey could potentially headline UFC 200 next summer during International Fight Week in Las Vegas – if needed.
