Dynamite 1: ‘Mr. Wonderful’ finishes ‘Hardcore Kid’ via kimura, advances to the finals to take on King Mo

Phil Davis made it look far too easy in his Bellator debut earlier tonight in San Diego. The former UFC light heavyweight contender recorded the 5th submission victory of his career against former Bellator light heavyweight champ Emanuel Newton in the opening round of Bellator’s one night, four-man tournament.

Davis will now take on Muhammed Lawal later on tonight, who was able to defeat Linton Vassell via decision in their contest, to crown a #1 contender for the winner of tonight’s main event between current champ Liam McGeary and Tito Ortiz.
