According to the always reliable Hector Castro, and many other sources who have followed, Bellator MMA is expected to announce the signings of Gina Carano and Marloes Coenen tomorrow. Carano and Coenen are expected to fight one another as Bellator employees later this year. Whether or not this fight will take place on Spike TV or PPV, or if they will be competing inside of the women’s featherweight or bantamweight division, will likely be answered during a press conference tomorrow.
Hmm.. Rumor is that Gina signed with Bellator.. Apparently so did Marloes Coenen

After the initial shock wears off, if you consider Coker’s former ties to Carano and the pull of Bellator’s majority owner Viacom then these signings make plenty of sense. Don’t expect it to stop here either. Word around the campfire is that Bellator is ready to make a couple more splashes before the end of the year. Of course, this is nothing more than a rumor at this time and should be treated as such until we hear it from Coker himself. Stay tuned for more news on Bellator’s “big” announcement as it unfolds on Tuesday.
UFC President Dana White was hoping to sign Carano for a year-end fight with UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey later this year. Talks between the two camps have allegedly been put on hold for the time being.
