Chris Hero (birthname Chris Spradlin) is headed up to WWE according to Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline. Meltzer has confrimed the news with a source within the company.
Hero had a short run back in 2013 with FCW/NXT under the ring name Kassius Ohno. Now, 3 years later, it’s unclear whether or not Hero will go back to NXT or will be brought up to the main roster upon his arrival.
Hero has been widely regard as the best wrestler on the indies during his 2016 run which has seen the Ohioan stay extremely busy, wrestling for everyone from Evolve to AAW, PWG, Smash, Beyond, HOH, PROGRESS and much more.
Hero has a built in history with current WWE superstar Cesaro whom he tried out for WWE with and held the ROH tag team titles with twice. The 36-year-old recently headlined Evolve 74 last night in Queens against Dick Togo and will take on DUSTIN tonight at Evolve 75 in Baltimore.
