In the 4th episode of UFC 190 Embedded ‘Rousey vs. Correia’, we join champion and challenger at the open workouts on Kite Point at Pepe Beach. It’s beginning to become more than evident that the Brazilian fans are more interested in Ronda Rousey than their very own Bethe Correia. Correia gets a solid round of applause and the fans seem happy to see her. For Rousey – it’s a much different vibe. Fans are screaming and crying, little kids are running out to hug her – it’s almost reminiscent of Beatlemania.

We also get a look at 7 foot Dutch Skyscraper, Stefan Struve, as he trains at Gordo jiu-jitsu in Rio ahead of his heavyweight match up against Brazilian legend Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira. Struve tells us how much he’s looked up to the local legend. Both men are coming into this one with a combined 37 wins via submission (DAMN!) and unfortunately two fight losing streaks for the first time in their respective careers.

After visiting Struve (with a nice little cameo from UFC strawweight Jessica Aguilar) we join his opponent’s twin brother, Antonio Rogerio Nogueira. Lil’ Nog talks about how he’s looking for “revenge” in his rematch against Mauricio “Shogun” Rua – the co-main event of the evening. It’s a rematch 10 years in the making and no matter how much people continue to try and discredit PRIDE – it’s a fight that has the hardcore fans pumped.

After a group photo with Nogueira, Bigfoot and friends – it’s back to Bethe Correia. We join her inside of Tropa Thai Gym. She’s in good spirits even though it’s time to cut weight and you can tell she’s beyond motivated for this fight – the biggest fight of her life.

We follow Bethe to her hotel, The Sheraton to be exact, where Ultimate Media Day is about to go down on beautiful Thursday afternoon in Rio. Both Ronda and Bethe are saying all of the right things leading up to this fight (sans Bethe’s suicide comment) – it’s an extremely emotional fight for both women and Brazil is the perfect setting.

Shogun, Nogueira (Big and Lil’) share some words with their interviewers before we end this episode with some bonus staredown footage from the top three fights on the card. If you were wondering what Correia said to Ronda in Portuguese yesterday, we have the translation for you right here:

“I’m gonna beat you up. A hell of a beatdown. Throw down. I’m going to smack your face. I’m going to knock you out.”
