WATCH: Amir Khan blasts Phil Lo Greco in under 40 seconds

Amir Khan (32-4, 20 KOs) only needed 39 seconds in Liverpool earlier today to make quick work of Canada’s Phil Lo Greco (28-4, 15 KOs) inside of a packed Echo Arena.

Khan’s lightening fast hands were on display as evidenced by his two knockdowns of Lo Greco in under forty seconds.

An overhand right from Khan caught Lo Greco by surprise early, dropping him to a knee before rising with a surprised look on his face. He’d try to shake it off but Khan would award him with another lethal combo for his troubles, putting him to rest for good this time, forcing the referee in charge to wave it off.

This was Khan’s first bout since his loss to Canelo Alvarez nearly 2 years ago and while we didn’t get much more than a sample size of his work tonight, he certainly doesn’t look like he lost a step.

Khan, 39, would claim that he’s back after the fight before calling out fellow Brit Kell Brook, much to the delight of the fans in attendance.

Matchroom’s Eddie Hearn announced that he would like to book the fight for later this year in Manchester Arena.
