Report: Women’s ‘Money in the Bank’ match to take place on Smackdown PPV

The first ever Women’s ‘Money in the Bank’ match is headed to this year’s PPV of the same name according to multiple sources. ProWrestlingSheet.com was the first to report this exciting news.

With the PPV still 4 weeks away, Smackdown Live commissioner Shane McMahon is expected to make the ground breaking announcement in the coming weeks.

It’s unclear whom the participants will be for this historic match but one can assume that Naomi’s title will be on the line in the match itself due to the current size of the roster.

Shane O’Mac has already announced the 6 participants who will compete for the briefcase that will earn the winner an immediate shot at Jinder Mahal’s WWE Championship at the time of their choosing.

This year’s MITB PPV takes place on June 18th at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis. We’ll keep you updated on this news as tonight’s show is currently underway.
