205 Live Episode #19 Rewind (4.4.17)

The episode starts with a video package showing Neville’s victory over Austin Aries at WrestleMania 33 the previous Sunday.
Akira Tozawa enters the arena. They show a clip of The Brian Kendrick defeating Tozawa after he hit the exposed turnbuckle the previous week. Kendrick enters the arena with a microphone. He says he can’t believe Tozawa asked for this rematch. He tells Tozawa he wants to let him in on lesson number ten. The crowd starts chanting “Ten.” Kendrick says he’s happy they’re enthusiast because he thought they were just goofballs. He says he deserves it for judging a book by its cover. He then turns his attention back to Tozawa to tell him lesson ten is that it’s not about athleticism. It is about psychological supremacy.

After the match, Tozawa tells Kendrick he’s just taught him lesson number one.
Rich Swann def. Oney Lorcan via Pinfall
After the match, Swann grabs a microphone. He tells the crowd he needs to get something off his chest. He says for weeks and weeks there has been a pretty lady who’s been getting presents: Alicia Fox. He adds that for weeks, Nam Dar has been taking credit for those gifts; but in fact, it wasn’t Dar that gave Fox the gifts. Swann was the one who sent them all to her.
Backstage, Drew Gulak congratulates Mustafa Ali on a thrilling match the previous week. The week was impressed with him in his defeat against Neville. Gulak warns Ali that maybe Ali should imply a more conservative strategy in tonight’s Fatal 4-Way match. Ali responds by saying he’s not buying what Gulak is selling.
There’s an introduction the UK Tournament participants including Trent Seven, Mark Andrews, Wolfgang, and Pete Dunne. There is a special entrance for the UK Champion, Tyler Bate. They will be touring the UK soon. Phillips announces that there will be a new weekly UK show coming soon to the WWE Network.
WWE Cruiserweight champion Neville comes out to talk about WrestleMania. He says there is no one the Neville level. He says it feels good to be proven right. He then taunts the crowd by saying they wouldn’t know because they backed Austin Aries.
He says his WrestleMania victory was a crowning moment in his career but there are still people out there who want to degrade and belittle his legacy. He brings up the eye gouge and tells the crowd he didn’t do it out of desperation, but because Aries deserved it. He believes in gratitude and thanks the fans for not believing in him. That lit a fire in his belly and he became royalty. He thanks Aries, saying that his victory at WrestleMania would not have been as satisfying without a detestable clown to obliterate. He then ends by thanks the whole 205 Live roster for failing to overcome him. He will be at ringside for the number one contender match.
