Alex Oliveira Expected to Face Carlos Condit Following Injury to Matt Brown

Following an injury to Matt Brown, Brazilian welterweight Alex Oliveira has accepted a matchup with Carlos Condit at UFC on FOX 29 next Saturday night in Glendale, Arizona.
Sources close to the matchup confirmed the news on Wednesday with verbal agreements in place for the fight.
Oliveira accepts the showdown with Condit after an absolute war in his last fight against Yancy Medeiros at UFC 218 this past December. While he suffered a loss, Oliveira went home with a ‘Fight of the Night’ bonus as a reward.
Now Oliveira will face a former interim welterweight champion in Condit, who is looking to bounce back after dropping his last three fights in a row while going just 1-4 over his past five bouts.
UFC on FOX 29 will be headlined by a lightweight matchup between Dustin Poirier and Justin Gaethje.
