BAMMA 35 Results: SBG show dominance as Pascu and Crosbie both pick up victories

BAMMA 35 at Dublin’s 3Arena has just taken place and it is clear that SBG have shown why they are one of the top MMA gyms in the world as their fighters Ion Pascu and hometown favourite Kiefer Crosbie secured wins.

Ion Pascu took on former BAMMA welterweight champion Alex “Da Kid” Lohore and dominated for the entire fight.

While Lohore looked to put his striking game into action in the early parts of the first two rounds, it proved no match for Pascu’s grappling, who took and kept the Frenchman to the mat.

Lohore looked to try to steal a win in the dying rounds of the fight, throwing punches in the hopes of landing one clean, but was too exhausted for any strike to be effective.

Pascu will now look to fight Terry Bazier for the BAMMA welterweight title in his next fight.

Kiefer Crosbie delivered on his promise of a first round KO in his fight with Josh Plant.

Crosbie and Plant went to absolute war delivering hard punches in an absolute brawl, before Crosbie started to land clean strikes.

Plant’s answer with this was to take Crosbie down, but Crosbie was dominant on the ground, delivering powerful elbow’s that ultimately ended the fight with Plant being KO’d.

Crosbie has also asked for a title shot against Brazier, so a SBG vs SBG title eliminator fight could potentially be on the cards.

Fabian Edwards, one of the UK’s hottest prospects, kept his undefeated streak going following his KO victory over SBG fighter Claudio Conti.

Edwards landed a devastating body kick with his left leg on Conti, causing him to drop to the mat and for the referee to call a stop to the fight.

Edwards demanded a title shot in June, before revealing he had broken his hand during the bout, putting any plans on fighting anytime soon on ice.

BAMMA have not yet announced when their next card is set to take place.
