Becky Lynch-Alexa Bliss title match official for ‘No Mercy’

She may have been the first competitor eliminated from the six-pack challenge to crown the inaugural Smackdown Women’s Champion this past Sunday at Backlash, but that didn’t stop her from capitalizing on a second chance dance last night on Smackdown Live.

To cap off a Fatal 5-Way to crown a new #1 contender, Alexa Bliss pinned Nikki Bella after Carmella laid her out with a super kick, thus earning herself a title shot against Becky Lynch at WWE No Mercy on October 9th in Sacramento. Smackdown Live GM Daniel Bryan made the announcement last night on Talking Smack.

Speaking of the champ, Michael Cole sat down with Team Blue’s top female to discuss the thrill of becoming the first women’s champion in Smackdown Live history and her thoughts on her upcoming defense against Alexa Bliss at No Mercy on October 9th live on the WWE Network.

A triple-threat title match pitting current WWE World Champion AJ Styles against Dean Ambrose and John Cena will serve as the main event of No Mercy.
