Bellator announces Welterweight Grand Prix tournament

Bellator has announced that an eight-man Welterweight Grand Prix Tournament will take place beginning later this year.
Lance Pugmire of the LA Times confirmed that the tournament will begin when the promotion visits San Jose on September 29th.
Paul Daley, Michael Page, Andrey Koreshkov and Douglas Lima have all been confirmed for the tournament along with current Bellator 170 lbs champion Rory MacDonald. MacDonald will be fighting on the September 29th show against Gegard Mousasi for the Bellator 185 lbs title meaning that he will not be able to compete in the tournament until a later date.
A fourth match up between Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson and Wanderlei Silva will also take place on the show.
