205 Live: The brilliant heel turn of Neville

Since the announcement of the 205 Live show, many fans, (including yours truly) complained about Neville not being a part of the Cruiserweight division. If we’re going to be completely honest, Neville hasn’t gotten a chance to really showcase his gravity defying ability since leaving NXT. These complaints apparently didn’t fall on deaf ears, because during the Roadblock PPV a few weeks ago, a new, dark, solemn Neville appeared and unleashed on an unknowing Rich Swann.
The next day on Raw, Neville made it clear, that he was tired of being underused. He intends to completely decimate the Cruiserweight division. All of the athletes from 205 live was put on his hit list. Neville’s first week back, he teamed with an equally disgruntled wrestler ‘The’ Brian Kendrick to face TJ Perkins and Rich Swann. This match, along with a lively audience, helped to put some steam into this new show, and reiterated why we, as hardcore Neville fans, wanted to see him as the head of the division.
Just watch his sit down interview that he had with Renee Young last week. Neville brilliantly articulated his reasoning for making this drastic change in his approach, to getting to the top of the company.
Neville is a damn legend in this business. Hell, Swann was his young boy back in Japan. Now, he’s watching someone he trained hold the Cruiserweight title, while he was forgotten. Neville was bringing attention and buzz to the NXT product back in 2014, and was a huge draw for the main roster. Once he got to the promise land, the thing that many feared would happen did.
There wasn’t a clear direction for him, and yes, he was seen on TV, but, he wasn’t getting the push that he actually needed and deserved. Sadly, Neville was injured, in a match with Jericho and his stock went down.
We’re looking at a man who is clawing to the top and will take out anyone that stands in his way. I am a fan of Neville 2.0. You can truly see the passion radiating off of him. He wants to prove that he is not a typical Cruiserweight. The new arrogance that is visible to the public is there because Neville has traveled the world and made a name for himself beating up guys twice his size, without breaking a sweat.
And now, because he is in a company that gets off on body builders, they wouldn’t even think of putting Neville in the Heavyweight title hunt.
So yes, he’s pissed off and ready to lay some people out and I am more than willing to watch his path of destruction. 205 Live just got the boost that they needed. Neville’s heel turn is what’s best for business.
