Brock Lesnar receives one-year suspension, $250K fine for UFC 200 doping violation

Former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar failed both his in and out of competition tests for his UFC 200 co-main event bout with Mark Hunt. Earlier today, the Nevada Athletic Commission made their ruling on Lesnar’s failed drug test(s).
Lesnar will be forced to pay $250,00 of his 2.5 million dollar fight purse and, as expected, his victory over Hunt will now go down in the history books as a No Contest.
Lesnar tested positive for both clomiphene and hydroxy-clomiphene (estrogen blockers) and will be suspended for one year retroactive to the date of his fight. So if Lesnar so desires, he would be allowed to compete for the UFC again as soon as July 9th of next year. Lesnar will turn 40 on July 12th.
