Cage Warriors 91 Preview

Only a week after the amazing event that was Cage Warriors 90, the London-based promotion returns on Saturday for Cage Warriors 91 in Newport, Wales.
This card is stacked with talented and up-coming welsh fighters looking to show the world just what talent the Welsh MMA gyms are producing.
Josh Reed will look to show the home crowd just why he is being hyped as one of the next big things in MMA with a victory over Brian Bouland. “Crazy Horse” comes into the fight with a 5-0 record, winning his last fight via KO, whilst Bouland comes in with a 3-1 record, also winning his last fight via KO, meaning the fans are likely to see an extremely aggressive fight between the pair.
Ross Houston takes on Aaron Khalid in a catchweight bout at the Newport Centre in what is the most highly anticipated fight of the evening, after the pairs last bout was classed by many as “fight of the year”. Khalid will look to avenge that decision loss against the 5-0 Houston who will be surely looking to use this fight to put him into title shot contention.
The only lightweight bout on the main card will be contested between Richard Williams and Donovan Desmae. Williams comes into the fight with a 4-1 record and will look to take his second win a row against the much more experienced Desmae, who is 9-3 and is also coming off the back of a win in his last fight.
Williams won his last fight via armbar in the second round, whilst Desmae’s last three fights have all gone the distance, which could play into the result of the fight.
In the bantamweight division, Gavin Kelly faces off against Kris Edwards. Kelly will be looking to return to winning ways, following a KO loss to Josh Reed in his last fight, and Edwards is looking for his third straight win and to take his record to 9-9, meaning that this fight is one of the more interesting bouts on the card.
There will also be action in the strawweight division, as Maria Vittoria looks for her second professional win against Cory McKenna, who is also looking for her second professional career win.
Cage Warriors 91 looks to be a stacked card, but with many fans still raving about last weeks action at the Echo Arena, will this be regarded as the better card?
