Breaking: Cerrone replaces injured Alvarez to complete trilogy with former UFC champ on short notice

Just two days removed from his unanimous decision victory over Myles Jury at UFC 182, Donald Cerrone already has another fight.
That means Cerrone will be back inside of the Octagon in less than two weeks to take on a a former 3-time defending UFC champion that has already beaten him twice.
At the UFC 182 post-fight press conference, Cerrone expressed interest in fighting on the upcoming February 14th card in his home state of Colorado on multiple occasions. Instead, “Cowboy” will now get a major fight in an attempt to extend his impressive six-fight win streak and more than earn the title shot he already deserves.
This golden opportunity to face Benson Henderson on short notice gives Cerrone an opportunity to kill two birds with one stone by avenging a couple of losses and wiping the bad taste out of his mouth from what he believes was a lackluster (it was actually a very smart and complete outing) performance against the previously undefeated Myles Jury.
For your viewing pleasure – here’s a bonus .gif of a frustrated ‘Cowboy’ kicking (literally) Jury’s ass in the final seconds of their contest.
