After being announced by just about everyone but the UFC, the promotion has finally confirmed that CM Punk will compete at UFC 225 in Chicago.

Punk will have everyone in the stands behind him when he faces Mike Jackson in his own backyard on June 9th. Known as ‘The Second City Saint’ during his days as a WWE Superstar, Punk still has a strong following in Chicago, they continue chant his name every time his former company comes to town.

Both Punk and Jackson share identical 0-1 records, having both lost their UFC debuts to New Jersey’s Mickey Gall early in the 1st round, respectively.
