Conor McGregor threatens to “teabag” Chad Mendes

Published

on

conor-the-vegasUFC featherweight contenders Conor McGregor and Chad Mendes just made some magic together on BT Sport’s UFC Beyond the Octagon program moments ago. SevereMMA, Ireland’s top MMA site, was all over the broadcast and luckily for all of us they weren’t shy about sharing the quotes. Here’s a taste of the Mendes (who appeared via satellite) and McGregor exchange via @SeanSheehan:

“Do you even know what wrestling is?” Mendes asked McGregor to which the Dubliner replied “I’ can rest my balls on your forehead”

“Whether it’s for a title or not, I’m going to beat your ass,” Mendes promised.

“I will take that belt from Jose (Aldo) and I’ll come back hunting for your little midget head,” McGregor threatened.

Here’s video evidence of the exchange via BTSport:

We already knew that McGregor was next in line for a title shot if Aldo should defeat Mendes in the sequel come Saturday night. If Mendes wins, it was likely that we were in store for a trilogy bout should Aldo ask for a rematch. That said, if McGregor keeps talking like this, well, he’s going to talk himself into a title shot with whomever comes out on top in Rio at UFC 179. The UFC just isn’t that high on Aldo right now and with his recent history of injuries we could see a quick turnaround from Mendes that Aldo may not be able to answer. If Uncle Dana and the Fertitta’s want McGregor to fight the winner of this Aldo-Mendes – he will find a way.
