WWE
Daniel Bryan stripped of World Heavyweight title; MITB match gets two new contestants

“It’s a good night to be right.”
The Authority kicked off tonight’s Monday Night RAW from inside of the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota this evening with the blockbuster news HHH promised the WWE Universe on his Twitter feed earlier today.
A video featuring Daniel Bryan’s doctor, Dr. Joe Maroon, played for the fans while HHH and Stephanie McMahon watched with them from inside of the ring. Dr. Maroon explained that Daniel Bryan would not be cleared to compete this month.
This would of course mean that Bryan has officially be stripped of the WWE World Heavyweight Title and that both belts will be fought for later this month at the Money in the Bank ladder match later this month. The now former world champion will not be featured on tonight’s show according to The Authority.
As far as the MITB ladder match itself, Alberto Del Rio earned his spot as the first qualifier last week on RAW by defeating Dolph Ziggler. Randy Orton was placed in the match by HHH for, well, being Randy Orton. Sheamus would defeat Wade Barrett in the opening match of tonight’s RAW to earn the third of seven spots.
“You just can’t expect an A+ recovery from a B+ player.” – Stephanie McMahon
“At the end of the day this is not the Daniel Bryan fan club. This is the WWE.” – HHH
