Free Fight Alert: Holly Holm vs. Bethe Correia (UFC Singapore)

Holly Holm has made a career of finishing fights with highlight reel head kick KO’s. She’d kick off her pro mixed martial arts career with three of them during her 10-fight undefeated run, including the head kick heard round the world that would spell the beginning of the end for one of the biggest stars in the history of the sport, Ronda Rousey. 

Following the Rousey bout, Holm would lose three consecutive fights, bringing her to a cross roads in her UFC career. If she wasn’t able to win her next contest, a main event title against title against former title challenger Bethe Correia at UFC Singapore this past June, who knows what would’ve been next for Holm. Not only did Holm defeat Correia, she took her out in dramatic fashion thanks to a perfect gameplan.

Holm would frustrate Correia with her patience and refusal to engage, which would force the Brazilian to grow restless. Correia would resort to taunting Holm in the third round, begging her to come forward and hit her with her best shot. Holm would do just that, and it was a thing of beauty.
