After conquering ‘The Beast’ last night at Survivor Series, Goldberg decided that it just wasn’t enough. Just over one month away from his 50th birthday, Goldberg announced on tonight’s episode of Monday Night RAW that he will be entering next year’s Royal Rumble match. He is the first official entrant for the 30-man elimination match to declare a new #1 contender for either the RAW or SmackDown world title.

Goldberg told the fans inside of the Air Canada Centre that he was met by Stephanie McMahon following his victory over Brock Lesnar. McMahon asked him if he had one more title run left in him and then told him that the road to that title shot is through the Royal Rumble.

“At the Royal Rumble match, everyone is next.” – Goldberg

Goldberg’s only previous Rumble appearance came back in 2004 as the 30th entrant. He was well on his way to winning the Rumble match before Brock Lesnar interfered with the match and F-5’d Goldberg causing him to be eliminated by Kurt Angle, who would go on to win the match. This would lead to their infamous match at WrestleMania XX. Could history repeat itself come 2017?
