Earlier tonight during UFC 190 in Brazil, Dan Henderson (31-13) took to Twitter to announce that his next fight, a rematch, would be announced sometime tonight. In the early hours of the morning during the UFC 190 post-fight presser, UFC President Dana White announced that Hendo and Vitor Belfort (24-11) will main event the November 7th “Fight Night” event when the promotion returns to São Paulo on November 7th.

The two men first met back in 2006 under the PRIDE banner in a fight that saw Hendo emerge the victor via unanimous decision. That fight was contested at 205 lbs. In the rematch, Belfort knocked Hendo out cold with a head-kick in Brazil just 67-seconds into the contest. The third contest will take place nearly 2 years ago to the date of the 2nd one and it to will be scheduled for five rounds.

Since their last meeting, Belfort has only made one appearance in the Octagon. Belfort was unsuccessful in his second bid for the UFC middleweight title at UFC 187, where he lost to Chris Weidman via TKO in the very 1st round. Henderson has gone 2-2, his latest bout being of the 28-second KO variety against Tim Boetsch.
