UFC on FOX 20 gets Felice Herrig versus Kailin Curran in Chicago

A strawweight bout pitting one of the true pioneers of women’s MMA, Felice Herrig (10-6), against Hawaii’s Kailin Curran (4-2) has been scheduled to take place in Chicago for UFC on FOX 20.

Herrig will be competing in her home state of Illinois for the first time as a UFC fighter and the first time in her professional mixed martial arts career since all the way back at XFC 39 in 2011 when she bested Nicdali Rivera-Calanoc via unanimous decision.

Curran, who started her career with a 3-0 record, got herself back on track after a 2-fight losing streak late last year by finishing off the ultra tough Emily Kagan via rear naked choke to earn the first finish of her career.

UFC on FOX 20 goes down on July 23rd inside of the United Center in Chicago and it’s looking a little something like this thus far:
