Holly Holm’s octagon debut set for UFC 181

One of the all-time greatest female boxers, Holly “The Preacher’s Daughter” Holm (7-0) is focused on becoming the first female to hold world titles in both boxing and MMA. In her last fight she defeated Juliana Werner to become the Legacy FC women’s bantamweight champion. What she means by holding world titles in both boxing and MMA though is ultimately claiming that UFC strap. On December 6th, she’ll begin her road to Rousey.
Holm’s first Octagon challenge will come in the form of Raquel “Rocky” Pennington (4-4). Pennington is best known for her fight of the season performance against Jessamyn Duke during TUF 18 that secured her a spot in the semi-finals. Pennington is the perfect opponent to stand and bang with Holm in her promotional debut. Pennington did show us that being at a reach disadvantage isn’t a problem in the aforementioned fight, which resulted in a victory, against the rangy Duke. Holm’s golden gloves and violent kicking game will be on full display against a very game and always down to brawl Coloradan.
