UPDATE: Jon Jones UFC 187 main event in danger as more rumors circulate

Rumors have been circulating all day on social media that UFC light heavyweight Jon Jones has been pulled out of his title bout with Anthony Johnson at UFC 187. While the actual events that led up to Jones being unable to compete on this card have yet to be officially revealed, according to multiple sources it’s not looking good.
Jones was reportedly involved in a three car accident of the hit and run variety on Interstate 25 in Albuquerque earlier this afternoon. Unconfirmed reports have Jones running from the scene of the crime with narcotics being discovered in his vehicle.
If these reports are true, this isn’t exactly the first strike for Jones. DUI’s, car wrecks and cocaine haven’t exactly been a stranger to the rap sheet of Jones since becoming champ.
We CANNOT confirm that Jon Jones was involved in a H&R traffic accident from this morning. The investigation is ongoing.

Again, these reports are unconfirmed and we will continue to update this story as more information becomes available to us. All we can confirm is that Jones will not be fighting in the main event of UFC 187.
UPDATE: According to MMAWeekly, once their story on Jones being officially out of the fight was released their source decided to retract their statement. However, the source did confirm that Jones has been in an accident and the fight is indeed in jeopardy.
With the Jones versus Johnson light heavyweight title bout officially ruled out for next month inside of the MGM Grand Garden Arena, here is your fully updated card for May 23rd.
