Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks are bringing their merch to a ‘Hot Topic’ near you

Shopping mall American retail giant Hot Topic has struck a mammoth deal with The Elite to sell a bunch of t-shirts to their vast clientele.

Beginning in July, Hot Topic will to peddle Young Bucks and Kenny Omega merch including Bullet Club and Elite tees. The Bucks have been the top t-shirt sellers outside of WWE for a minute now (check them out on ProWrestlingTees) and this deal will only help not only bolster their brand but it could even open up the doors for other non WWE talents to further promote themselves and professional wrestling itself.
Let’s face it, just about half of Hot Topic’s earnings come from selling t-shirts, most of which are of rock bands. Pro wrestling has much more in common with rock n’ roll/ heavy metal / hip-hop / insert your favorite musical genre here, than you think. To the fans that have already been introduced to them, seeing Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks (The Elite) live is more comparable to seeing your favorite band live than it is watching wrestling on the USA Network on a Monday or Tuesday night.
Omega and the Jackson Brothers can do more for professional wrestling outside of WWE than anyone else in the business today and I believe this will end up being one of the biggest examples of that. I mean, it may be kind of weird packing your child’s lunch in a Bullet Club lunchbox at first but you’ll quickly take solace in knowing that they’ll be the coolest kid in class.
We’ve talked to a lot of folks who have expressed positive and negative thoughts on this news and we’d love to hear what you have to say on the matter below or feel free to hit us up @Wrestling Desk.
