UFC 205 Highlight: Nurmagomedov finishes Johnson, calls out ‘chicken’ McGregor

With a 3rd round submission victory over lightweight contender Michael Johnson (17-11), Khabib Nurmagomedov (24-0) cemented himself as #1 contender for the UFC lightweight title once again tonight.
Nurmagomedov put on a dominant performance on the preliminary portion of the UFC’s first ever card in New York City, UFC 205, earlier tonight. Johnson would tap to a kimura midway through the third round after being taken down and punched in the face repeatedly for the better part of the contest.
Following the bout, Nurmagomedov would address the multitude of Irish fans in attendance with some harsh words for UFC 205 headliner Conor McGregor.
“Guy taps at the start of the year…fight for a title at the end of the year. I want to fight with your chicken,” Nurmagomedov explained to the crowd. “Your country only 6 million. Russia 150 million,” Khabib would say ta chorus of booing fans as he continued to lobby for a fight with McGregor.
Take our poll below and tell us who you believe should be next for whomever leaves MSG with the lightweight title tonight.
