Lana gets a title shot at Money in the Bank

“She might wanna invest in one of those Russian fur hats, because I plan on snatching her bald.”

After making her highly anticipated debut as a singles superstar tonight on Smackdown Live, Lana did enough to earn herself a title shot at the upcoming Money in the Bank pay-per-view.

“The Ravishing Russian” was laughed at and turned away after initially attempting to insert herself in the first ever Women’s Money in the Bank match which is set to take place a week from Sunday on the PPV of the same name. But Lana would not take no for an answer. During a 6-woman tag match between all of the female MITB competitors and the champion of the brand, Naomi, Lana cost Naomi the match by providing enough interference for Tamina to earn her team the victory off a superkick.

Later on in the show, Naomi would insist on facing Lana at Money in the Bank and her title will be on the line. So instead of competing in the Money in the Bank ladder match — she’ll get a title shot instead — not a bad trade off.
