Lana set debut as a singles competitor on Smackdown Live soon

With Lana’s real-life husband, Rusev, currently on the shelf due to injury, the ‘Ravishing’ Russian may be getting a major push as a singles wrestler soon.
Since Rusev’s WWE debut in 2014, Lana has worked very closely with the ‘Bulgarian Brute’ helping lead him through 2 United States Championship reigns. We learned earlier tonight’s episode of Smackdown Live during a vignette that Lana will begin her career as a singles wrestler on the Smackdown Live brand soon.
Since making her singles debut in a multi-woman match at WrestleMania 32 last April, Lana has wrestled at multiple house shows for both WWE and NXT. It was also announced that as a part of the “Superstar Shakeup,” Rusev will also move from RAW to Smackdown when he’s ready to compete again.
