Local fighter Amanda Bobby Cooper added to UFC 218 in Detroit

A second women’s strawweight battle has been added to the UFC’s first Michigan event since 2010.
Michigan native and TUF Season 23 finalist, Amanda Bobby Cooper (2-3) will take on controversial social media personality Angela Magana (11-8) on the December 2nd card. Cooper made the fight announcement on social media just moments ago.
Cooper will look to get back in the win column after suffering a loss to the undefeated Cynthia Calvillo on the PPV portion of UFC 209 this past March. For Magana, this will be the her first appearance in over two years. ‘Your Majesty’ will bring a four-fight losing streak into the Octagon with her that dates back to 2012.
Another women’s strawweight contest between Chicago’s Felice Herrig (13-6) and the hard-hitting Cortney Casey (7-4) was announced for this card earlier this month.
UFC 218 will take place in the brand new Little Caesars Arena which is set to open for business on September 12th with six consecutive Kid Rock concerts.
