McGregor, Faber to coach lightweights on TUF 22 ‘U.S.A. vs. Europe’

During tonight’s TUF 21 finale on FOX Sports 1, Dana White revealed the two head coaches for the next season The Ultimate Fighter to UFC play-by-play man Jon Anik.
White announced that new UFC interim featherweight champion Conor McGregor and former WEC featherweight champion Urijah Faber will coach the 22nd season of the decade long running reality series.
The season will see 16 lightweights who will be vying for a UFC contract and the chance to be called the Season 22 Ultimate Fighter winner by Bruce Buffer before each of their fights. Team McGregor will consist of 8 European lightweights while Team Faber will carry 8 American fighters.
The 2- hour season debut of TUF 22 will air September 9th on FOX Sports 1. McGregor and Faber will not compete against one another at the end of the season as is usually a tradition for TUF coaches.
