Michael Chiesa injured, Namajunas shaken following Conor McGregor attack

UFC mega star Conor McGregor may be in some proverbial hot water after storming a media day event for UFC 223 in Brooklyn.
According to reports, McGregor and his crew of around 20 people were looking for Khabib Nurmagomedov for retaliation following an incident that took place on Tuesday.
McGregor and friends would attack a bus containing Nurmagomedov and his team as they attempted to get off the bus to fight back. During the melee, UFC 223 main card fighter Michael Chiesa suffered multiple facial lacerations from glass that was shattered due to a dolly thrown by McGregor that broke a window where he was seated. As of now, Chiesa is still scheduled to compete against Anthony Pettis on the PPV portion of UFC 223.
As you can see in the following video, McGregor smashes out the aforementioned bus window carrying the red corner fighters that was set to go back to the hotel.
UFC Flyweight Ray Borg, who was seated near Chiesa, is being examined by New York doctors due to eye issues. Borg is claiming that shrapnel may have entered his eye as a result of McGregor’s chair toss. Borg is scheduled to fight Brandon Moreno on the televised preliminary portion of the card.
UFC Strawweight Champion Rose Namajunas was also shaken up by the situation according to UFC President Dana White. There was a moment where both Chiesa and Namajunas were rumored to be taken off the card due to the McGregor attack. As of now, that no longer appears to be the case. The only fighter that has been removed from the card as of now is Artem Lobov. He will no longer be competing on Saturday night’s event against Alex Caceres following these recent events.
The following tweet sent out by UFC VP of Operations Reed Harris suggests that McGregor’s days with the UFC may be numbered.
At hospital with one of my coworkers. Possible broken hand due to attack by Conor and his gang of thugs. I got cut and showered with glass. We thought we were gonna die.
