Michael Chiesa and Ray Borg will not be competing at UFC 223 this coming Saturday night in Brooklyn.

Both fighters have been taken off the card after due to injuries suffered during a bus attack by UFC superstar Conor McGregor and his posse following a media event in Brooklyn for the upcoming PPV event.

A visibly enraged McGregor would throw a dolly at the bus, breaking a window located next to a seated Chiesa. The shattered glass would cause facial lacerations to Chiesa, with some of the shrapnel from the break entering the eye of the man seated next to Chiesa, UFC flyweight Ray Borg.

Chiesa was scheduled to fight Anthony Pettis in a pivotal lightweight bout between two top ranked lightweights coming of recent losses.

Borg, coming off an unsuccessful attempt to dethrone UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson, was scheduled to face Brandon Moreno on the FOX Sports 1 preliminary portion of the card.

This now makes three fights that have been canceled on what was once a loaded pay-per-view for the promotion due to this senseless outburst by McGregor and his crew. A bantamweight bout between Artem Lobov and Alex Caceres was also scrapped due to Lobov, a close friend and training partner of McGregor, taking part in the bus attack.

At this time, there are still 10 fights scheduled for UFC 223 including Max Holloway versus Khabib Nurmagomedov for the UFC lightweight title and Strawweight Champ Rose Namajunas versus Joanna Jedrzejczyk in world title rematch.
