Mousasi vs. Hall II is your new main event for UFC Belfast

The UFC has a new main event for their scheduled visit to Belfast on November 19th. The original plan was to have a welterweight tilt between Dong Hyun Kim and Gunnar Nelson serve as the top fight of the evening. That contest has been removed from the card due to a injury suffered by Nelson that has forced his removal from the card. According to MMAFighting‘s Ariel Helwani, a rematch between Uriah Hall (12-7) and Gegard Mousasi (40-6-2) will now take its place .
When Hall and Mousasi first met just last year in Saitama, ‘The Dreamcatcher’ took the first round with ease before being deleted early in the 2nd via one of the craziest knockouts we saw during the 2015 calendar year.
Since that brutal loss, Mousasi has gotten back to his winning ways with three consecutive victories over the likes of Thales Leites, Thiago Santos and most recently Vitor Belfort in the co-main event of UFC 204. Hall, on the other hand, has dropped bouts to Robert Whittaker and Derek Brunson following the Mousasi victory.
While this fight may be a step down for Mousasi, the number 5 ranked middleweight in the world, he clearly would like to make things right against Hall before he steps back into the title talk at 185 lbs.
