After a successful stint with Strikeforce as their 3-time defending welterweight champion, Diaz went 1-2 with 1 No Contest with the UFC during his second run with the promotion. He last fought in 2015 against Anderson Silva in the main event of UFC 183. Silva would emerge victorious from the bout, but the fight would be ruled a No Contest due to Silva testing positive for steroids. Diaz would also test post for marijuana which would result in a five year suspension for the Stockton born fighter. The suspension would eventually be reduced resulting in Diaz now being cleared to fight as of April 2018.

We will have more on this breaking news as details continue to emerge.
