NXT: Owens-Balor title match set for July 4th in Tokyo

What was first announced as a house show that would be exclusive to the fans in attendance at Sumo Hall in Tokyo will now be broadcast on the WWE Network for the world to see – possibly. NXT GM William Regal announced on tonight’s broadcast that NXT kingpin Kevin Owens will defend his title against #1 contender Finn Balor on July 4th.
Brock Lesnar versus Kofi Kingston and John Cena versus Chris Jericho have also been announced for the card. As of now it’s not clear if the latter matches will air on the Network along with the Owens-Balor match.
On the following night, just under 5 km from Sumo Hall, IWGP champion A.J. Styles will defend his title against Kazuchika Okada inside of the Tokyo Dome. Expect fireworks all weekend long.
