Paige relinquishes NXT title; Talks journey to Divas Title (videos)

Norwich, England’s favorite daughter sat down with Michael Cole recently to discuss her busy professional life. The 21-year-old made history on the Monday following WrestleMania 30 when she ended the historic 295-day reign of A.J. Lee when she hit her patented finisher, “The Paige-Turner,” making her the first wrestler to ever hold titles in both NXT and WWE simultaneously.

Paige will make her first major PPV Divas title defense next Sunday night in East Rutherford, New Jersey as a part of Extreme Rules. Her opponent, former A.J. Lee bodyguard Tamina Snuka, will be looking to make her father, the legendary Jimmy ‘Superfly’ Snuka’ proud in an effort to earn her first title as a member of the WWE roster.

On last nights episode of NXT, GM John Bradshaw Layfield forced Paige to relinquish her NXT Women’s Championship. Paige won the inaugural Women’s NXT Title back in the Summer of 2013 in an instant classic against her former NXT, and likely future WWE nemesis, Emma. Her title reign ended at 308 days.
