Pipe Bombshell: AJ Lee’s memorable Monday Night in Phoenix

As predictable as the WWE can be sometimes, Monday Night Raw remains can’t miss television due to moments like these. Moments that find certain members of their stacked roster come out of nowhere with promos like AJ Lee’s from this past week. It was a moment that still has fans buzzing, it was a moment that will make the year-end best of DVD/Blu-Ray, and it was a  moment that the Diva’s division needed to integrate the success of the Total Diva’s reality show with the highly marketable and even harder working Diva’s champion.

When this decade closes it will most certainly be CM Punk’s ‘Pipe Bomb’ promo that took place during the summer of 2011 that will go down as the best of that 10 year time span. It was the night that put Punk into a class of his own, this would be a man who would continue to play by his own set of rules up to and beyond his 434 day reign as WWE champion. Nowadays There are pro-wrestling fans, and then there are CM Punk fans that just tune into Monday Night RAW on a weekly basis to see ‘The Best in the World’ and then it’s back to their regularly scheduled programming.

This past Monday night inside of the U.S. Airways Center in downtown Phoenix, Arizona – Diva’s Champion A.J. Lee made her own magic with the microphone. And Punk approved.

Her is the full promo in written form via EWrestlingNews:

“Do you want to know what I see when I look in that ring? Honestly? A bunch of cheap, interchangeable, expendable, useless women. Women who have turned to reality television, because they just weren’t gifted enough to be actresses. And they just weren’t talented enough to be champion. I have saved your divas division, I have shattered glass ceilings, I have broken down doors.

Why? So a bunch of ungrateful, stiff plastic mannequins can waltz on through without even as much as a ‘Thank You’?! You guys can’t even go backstage, and shake my hand and look me in the eye because you know that I worked my entire life to get here. I gave my life to this, and you were just handed fifteen minutes of fame.

I didn’t get here because I was cute, or because I came from some famous wrestling family, or because I ‘sucked’ up to the right people. I got here because I am good. I earned this championship. No matter how many red carpets you guys want to walk, in your four-thousand dollar ridiculous heels, you will never be able to lace up my Chuck Taylor’s. You are all worthless excuses for women, and you will never be able to touch me. And that is reality.”

If you missed AJ’s promo and want another look you’re in luck – we attached it below. After all, we’d be complete jerks if we didn’t after building it up this much.
