Report: Mousasi-MacDonald superfight to join Rampage-Silva IV on September 29th

A superfight between Bellator middleweight champion Gegard Mousasi (44-6-2) and welterweight champ Rory MacDonald (20-4) will be announced for the promotions September 29th offering in San Jose. Mousasi’s middleweight title will be on the line.
ESPN’s Ariel Helwani reported news of the booking just moments ago.
The bout will be featured along with the recently reported 4th clash between PRIDE legends Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson (37-13) and Wanderlei Silva (35-13-1) on what is expected to be the biggest card in the history of the promotion.
A formal press conference to officially announce the event, along with a new landmark distribution deal between Bellator and Viacom, will take place next Tuesday in New York beginning at 10 a.m. ET. Silva and Jackson have been confirmed for the presser along with “additional current and former champions” which would suggest that MacDonald and Mousasi will also be present.
