Report: Ronda Rousey versus Cat Zingano headed to UFC 182

Cat Zingano appeared on tonight’s episode of Inside MMA with Bas Rutten and Kenny Rice to talk about her health and her upcoming title fight with Ronda Rousey which will take place early next year.
There was some talk earlier in the week that a medical suspension following her finish of Amanda Nunes at UFC 178 could deem Zingano unable to compete in time for UFC 182, the card Rousey was looking to get on for her next title defense. However, it appears that was all just a precaution and the ‘Alpha’ Cat just had a a bit of a stinger, and maybe a few scratches after leaving the cage.
The following interview confirms that if both women are healthy the fight is indeed a go for the co-main event of UFC 182 which takes place on January 3rd at either the Mandalay Bay or the MGM Grand.
Here’s a look at UFC 182 ‘Jones vs. Cormier’ as it stands today:
• Light Heavyweight Championship Bout: Jon Jones (C) (20-1) vs. Daniel Cormier (15-1)
• Women’s Bantamweight Championship Bout: Ronda Rousey (C) (10-0) vs. Cat Zingano (9-0)
• Welterweight Bout: Hector Lombard (34-4-1) vs. Josh Burkman (27-10)
• Lightweight Bout: Rustam Khabilov (17-2) vs. Danny Castillo (17-7)
