Report: Werdum-Velasquez 2 official, date and location TBA

To truly become a champion, you must first defend your title. Fabricio Werdum (20-5-1) was able to dethrone 2-time heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez (13-2) in Mexico City earlier this summer in convincing fashion. Now, as the undisputed UFC heavyweight champion, he’ll have to beat Velasquez once again.
When it comes to “The Greatest Heavyweight of All-Time Debate,” you could make an argument for both of these men; the rematch will only help bolster one man’s case.
As of now, word around the campfire is that this contest will co-main UFC 194 ‘Aldo vs. McGregor’ but nothing is official as of yet. News of this rematch was first revealed earlier tonight on FOX Sports 1’s UFC Tonight.
