ROH: Baszler helps reDRagon retain, Jacobs pours his heart out, Lethal gets personal with CM Punk and more

UFC competitor Shayna Baszler made her presence known ringside in Vegas last Sunday night after walking out with ROH tag team champions reDRagon. This wasn’t the first time O’ Reilly and Fish have been accompanied by someone on the UFC roster. “Filthy Dragon” Tom Lawlor joined the duo last year at War of the Worlds in NYC to help them defeat The Young Bucks for the ROH tag team titles. They were able to retain once again last night against the same team with some help from the “Queen of Spades,” or as O’ Reilly calls her in the following video – “The Mother of Dragons”.
Kalamazoo, Michigan native Jimmy Jacobs cut an extremely heartfelt promo after being put on the pre-show of Ring of Honor’s 13th anniversary PPV.
Current ROH World Television Champion Jay Lethal cut the ultimate heel promo ahead of his successful title defense against Alberto El Patron in Vegas for the aforementioned ROH 13th Anniversary show. Lethal took a hard jab at the current husband of his ex-girlfriend, former ROH Champion CM Punk. Here’s the direct quote from the mouth of the “Greatest First Generation Wrestler” himself:
“I will not have hand me downs from guys like Samoa Joe. I will not have hand me downs from guys like Brian Danielson. I will not have hand me downs from guys like CM Punk, although they have no problem taking my hand me downs.”
Although it looks like Samoa Joe will be joining WWE before the year is out, the promo he cut for ROH the Sunday before last made us believe he was coming back for good. Regardless, the time he spends in the locker room and in the ring with the boys on the current ROH roster, whether it’s a couple of weeks or a couple of months, will be priceless to say the least.
