ROH TV Title rematch booked for ‘Best in the World’

With the summer of ’17 drawing near, so does the biggest Ring of Honor show of the summer. The 8th annual Best in the World event is set to take place in Lowell, Mass on June 23rd and the match announcements keep flowing in across the wire.
One could argue that Best of the Super Juniors 2017 winner and new IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion Kushida has been the hottest wrestler in the world of late. You could also argue that it all began when he captured the ROH World TV Title from Marty Scurll last month in Philadelphia. Back from a solid stint in Japan himself, the first of his career, ‘The Villain’ will look to take the title back from Kushida in an effort to join Jay Lethal and Roderick Strong as only the third man to hold the ROH TV Title twice.
Also on the card, 8-time defending world champion Christopher Daniels will defend his ROH World Championship against Cody in the main event of evening. If Cody can best Daniels, he’ll have an opportunity to hold the two most prestigious titles in the world should he defeat Kazuchika Okada just one week later in Long Beack for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship.
Here’s a look at the full card as it stands today:
