After a couple of months away from the limelight following her devastating loss to Holly Holm at UFC 193, Ronda Rousey is back in our lives with a vengeance. Since Rousey is the type of gal that grabs headlines each and every day we’ve decided to introduce a little something new to the site to put them all in one convenient place every so often. So without further ado, welcome to our very first edition of ‘The Rowdy Report’.

Live from New York

Earlier this week it was revealed that Rousey will be hosting the January 23rd episode of “Saturday Night Live” with Selena Gomez serving as the musical guest on the night. This, the 798th episode of the NBC comedy series which began it’s 41st season last fall, will mark the first time a professional mixed martial artist has hosted the iconic late night sketch comedy program

Secret’s Out”

After a photo was leaked earlier this week of Rousey’s posterior covered in nude body paint (that took 14 hours to put on!), the former women’s bantamweight champ took to social media to confirm that she will indeed be appearing in between the covers of Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit Issue for a second consecutive year. Check out the aforementioned photo and a couple more shots that Rousey shared in the mini gallery below.

Holm to fight before Rousey rematch

As far as fighting goes, UFC President Dana White confirmed last night that Holly Holm will fight one time before giving Rousey her rematch later this year. With Rousey being away from the cage to shoot a couple of films (Mile 22 with Mark Wahlberg and a remake of Road House) and recovering from her injuries suffered in the Holm bout, it’s only fair for the current champ to stay active instead of waiting around. After all, Holm isn’t afforded the same opportunities as Rousey on the big screen – she stills makes all of her money by doing what she’s been doing so well since making her professional boxing debut back in 2002 – lacing up the gloves and knocking girls silly. The question is whether or not Holm will defend her title against a Miesha Tate or an Amanda Nunes or if she will fight Cristiane ‘Cyborg’ Justino in a non-title fight. Cyborg will defend her Invicta FC featherweight title against Daria Ibragimova next Saturday night in California.

Don’t rule her out of ‘Mania 32

With The Rock making the blockbuster announcement a week ago today that he will be appearing at WrestleMania 32 this year in Dallas, you simply cannot not rule out another appearance from Ronda Rousey this year. Rousey’s cameo alongside “The Brahma Bull” created so much buzz last year at WrestleMania 31 that another appearance would not only help the create more buzz for the biggest WWE show of the year, it’d also help the UFC potentially break their PPV record for her rematch with Holm later on in the year. Getting pro wrestling fans even more invested in Rousey is good business for the UFC’s numbers and great for WWE should she eventually make a short run with the company following her MMA career. It’s one of those rare win-win situations for both companies that world class promoters like Vince McMahon and Dana White both understand.
