Ryback is likely done with WWE

There’s a reason why you didn’t see Ryback in the Battle Royal to determine the #1 contender for Kalisto’s United States Championship last night on RAW. With his contract set to end this Summer, “The Big Guy” met with Vince McMahon on Monday to begin negotiations on a new deal. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, the two parties were “very far apart in money” which led to Ryback being given the option to go home. He took it.
Although his contract with WWE isn’t up for a couple of months the feeling is that he won’t be back. There’s really no argument for Ryback with all of the recent talent that’s been moved up from NXT and the deep new crop that’s currently down at Full Sail being groomed for the big stage. There’s plenty of speculation on where Ryback will end up after his contract runs out; NJPW and TNA are the top two names that have been floating around.
There’s always a chance that the folks closest to Ryback backstage could convince him to come back and at least finish out his contract. If his match against Kalisto at Payback was indeed his last with WWE, it may have been his best.
