Seth Rollins looks to make history at Night of Champions

This coming Sunday night in Houston, every title must be defended. And unfortunately for Seth Rollins, that means both his WWE World Heavyweight Champion and United States Championship will be on the line when he takes on Sting and John Cena, respectively.

The infographic featured above via the fine folks over at shows us just how rare it is (only 6 men have done so in 312 PPV’s since 1988) for one man to wrestle, let alone win, in singles competition twice during a WWE PPV in one night. While Jericho and Trips both won two title fights in one night as evidenced by the above infographic – no man has successfully defended two titles in one night.

Rollins truly has his work cut out for him as he heads into Houston, Texas as “The Man”. He’s been the true workhorse of the company since he pinned Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 31 to become the World Heavyweight Champion. Regardless of the outcome at NOC, Rollins joins some rare company as he continues to etch his name into the proverbial WWE history books.

Does “The Architect” have what it takes to beat both Cena and Sting in the same night? Sound off and tell us what you think in our comment section below.
